Storm Damage Roof Repairs

Tell Us What You Can See Safely

If your roof has changed after bad weather, tell us what you can see from a safe place and whether water is coming in. We'll talk through the damage and the checks needed.

01

Tiles, Slates or Ridge Damage

If tiles or slates have slipped, broken or disappeared, or a ridge or verge looks disturbed, tell us where the damage is and when you noticed it. Do not climb onto the roof or stand beneath loose material to get a closer look.

02

Water Entering the Property

Tell us where the water is showing inside and whether it started during the recent weather. The point where water appears indoors is not always directly below the roof defect, so the surrounding roof details may also need checking.

03

Not Sure What Caused It?

You don't need to be sure of the cause before calling. A storm can reveal or worsen an existing problem, so we look at the roof's condition and any earlier leaks when discussing repairs.

What Happens Next

What Happens When You Contact Us

Give us your postcode, a description of what's happened and whether water is coming in. You don't need roofing terminology; we'll talk it through with you.

1. Explain What Changed

Tell us what the roof was like before the bad weather and what is different now. Safe photographs can help, but only if they can be taken without approaching an unsafe area.

2. We Check the Roof

We look at the damage and the roof around it. Depending on the problem, that may include tiles or slates, ridges, flashing, valleys, flat-roof edges and guttering.

3. We Explain the Repair

Some damage only needs a local repair; other roofs need work across a wider area. We'll explain what we've found and the repair we recommend before you agree to the work.

4. Tell Us About Any Insurance Claim

If you are making an insurance claim, tell us what your insurer has asked for before the quotation is prepared. We can describe the proposed roofing work, while your insurer decides what is covered under your policy.

Your Questions Answered

Storm Damage Roof Repair Questions

Answers to common questions after strong winds, heavy rain or sudden roof damage.

Have another question? Tell us what's happened and we'll talk it through with you.

Do You Repair Storm-Damaged Roofs?

Yes. We repair slipped or broken tiles and slates, damaged ridges and roof edges, leaks and flashing problems. Tell us what's happened and your postcode so we can discuss how to help.

Can You Come Out Immediately?

Please call Peter or Robert so we can check availability and understand how urgent it is. The weather, safe access and current workload can affect when we can attend. If water is coming in or materials are loose, call rather than relying on the online form alone.

Should I Climb Up to Check the Damage?

No. Stay off the roof and away from any area where tiles, slates or other material could fall. Photographs are useful only when they can be taken safely from ground level, a window or another secure position.

Can You Help with an Insurance-Related Repair?

Yes, we can discuss the roofing work and provide a quotation for the proposed repair. If you are claiming, speak to your insurer about its own evidence and approval process and tell us what information it has requested.

Does Storm Damage Mean the Whole Roof Needs Replacing?

No. A local repair may be enough. If the surrounding roof is badly worn, a wider repair or replacement may make more sense. We'll explain the condition we've found and why we recommend the work.

What if the Roof Was Already Leaking Before the Storm?

Please tell us about it. A storm can make an existing weakness worse, and knowing the history helps us investigate. We base the repair on the roof's condition and what needs putting right.

What Should I Tell You When I Contact You?

Your postcode, the type of roof if known, what has changed, whether water is entering and any obvious access or safety concerns. If you have photographs taken safely, you can send those with the enquiry as well.
