New Dry Verge Installation
We fit dry verge systems to suitable roof edges during new roofing or replacement work. We'll check the tile profile and prepare the edge so the components can be fixed correctly.

Dry Verge Systems
Dry verge systems protect the sloping edges of suitable pitched roofs. If yours is loose or damaged, we check the units and the tiles, battens and roofline around them before recommending a repair.
What We Check
Tell us if you've noticed missing caps, gaps or movement from ground level. We'll discuss whether the verge units, their fixings or the surrounding roof need attention.
One missing unit may need a small repair. If units repeatedly move or come loose, we also need to check the fixings and roof edge beneath them.
The new components must suit your tiles and the construction at the roof edge. We check those details as well as the colour and finish.
We look at how the verge meets the ridge above and roofline below, particularly if you've noticed gaps, water marks or movement.
We may be able to replace one section if the rest is sound. If units are failing along a longer run, we'll explain whether renewing more of the verge is likely to be worthwhile.
Newcastle & the Wider North East
We install and repair dry verge systems on suitable pitched roofs across Newcastle, Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, County Durham and Teesside.

REQUEST A FREE QUOTEA dry verge is a mechanically fixed system that protects the sloping edges of a suitable pitched roof. It offers an alternative to a mortar-bedded edge, using components matched to the roof.
It may be possible, but we'll need to check the roof covering and existing edge first. We'll explain any preparation or repairs needed before the new system can be fitted.
No. The components must be compatible with your tiles and roof edge. We'll explain which system is proposed and check it against the manufacturer's installation requirements.
Often a local repair is possible, depending on why the units came loose and the condition beneath them. Tell us about previous repairs and send any photos you can take safely.
Only if it's included in the quote. Tell us if you also want work to the fascias, soffits or guttering so we can price each part clearly.
Yes, if both systems suit your roof. We'll identify the ridge and verge work separately in the quote, including preparation and any repairs to nearby tiles.
Not always. The verge needs checking, but an internal damp patch may have another cause. Tell us where water appears inside as well as what you've noticed outside.
Yes. We're based in Blaydon-on-Tyne and work across Newcastle and the wider North East. Send your postcode and roof details, or call Peter or Robert to discuss the job.
